Qualifications:
- Active and unencumbered RN license
- Minimum of 1 year experience in perioperative nursing, with a strong background in both adult and pediatric cases
- Proficiency circulating and scrubbing in the Operating Room preferred
- Current BLS and PALS certifications required
- Familiarity with safety protocols, infection control, and OR best practices
- Ability to communicate clearly with multidisciplinary teams, patients, and families
- Strong critical thinking, organizational skills, and composure under pressure
Responsibilities:
- Provide nursing care before, during, and after surgical procedures for pediatric and adult patients
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other OR staff to ensure safety and high-quality outcomes
- Prepare and maintain a sterile environment, ensuring all equipment and supplies are ready for each case
- Monitor patient status, vital signs, and manage post-operative recovery
- Offer emotional support and education to pediatric patients and their families throughout the surgical experience
- Document patient data, interventions, and outcomes accurately in accordance with regulations and facility policies
