Seeking an experienced Registered Nurse with a background in operating room environments to deliver exceptional perioperative care in a fast-paced surgical department. This contract opportunity offers the chance to work alongside skilled professionals dedicated to patient advocacy and positive surgical outcomes.

Key Qualifications:

  • Current and unrestricted RN licensure
  • Minimum of 2 years’ recent nursing experience in an operating room setting (scrub and circulate preferred)
  • Comprehensive knowledge of surgical procedures, infection control protocols, and sterile technique
  • BLS and ACLS certification (active and current)
  • Strong communication, critical thinking, and teamwork abilities
  • Ability to adapt quickly to rapidly changing clinical situations

Schedule/Hours:

  • Assignment length and schedule to be discussed with qualified candidates

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct patient care throughout the perioperative process, including pre-op preparation, intraoperative assistance, and post-op monitoring
  • Circulate and/or scrub for various surgical procedures, maintaining the integrity of the sterile field and ensuring all safety protocols are followed
  • Collaborate effectively with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and surgical technologists
  • Provide patient education and emotional support to patients and their families before and after procedures
  • Accurately document care delivery, assessments, and surgical counts
  • Maintain readiness of the operating room and handle emergency situations with composure and expertise
