Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited nursing school
• Current MA RN license required
• O.R. nursing experience and CNOR certification strongly preferred
• ACLS required (or BLS at hire, with ACLS within 60 days)
• Strong multitasking, communication, and prioritization skills

Core Responsibilities:

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate perioperative patient care and nursing interventions
• Safely administer medications and IV therapy as prescribed
• Maintain high standards for hand hygiene and infection control practices
• Ensure proper maintenance of sterile fields and accurate handling of surgical instruments and supplies
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and the surgical team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Accurately document care, treatments, and patient responses
• Facilitate timely and thorough handoffs and reporting between team members
• Provide patient and family education, preparing for discharge and recovery
• Proactively identify safety risks and participate in error reduction initiatives
