Registered Nurse - Operating Room (OR RN) - Los Angeles, CA

This contract position is ideal for individuals who thrive in fast-paced surgical environments, demonstrating expert care for patients throughout preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative periods.

Qualifications:

• Current and valid RN license
• Minimum of 1 year of recent OR nursing experience
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Strong knowledge of surgical procedures, aseptic technique, and OR protocols
• Excellent communication and critical thinking abilities
• Ability to adapt quickly to changing situations and work effectively within a surgical team

Responsibilities:

• Provide safe and compassionate care to patients undergoing surgical procedures
• Prepare and maintain a sterile environment in the operating room
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical technologists to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Monitor patient status and respond promptly to any changes
• Document patient care accurately and in accordance with hospital policies
• Assist in the setup, use, and breakdown of surgical equipment
• Follow all infection control practices and safety standards
