An opportunity is available for a skilled registered nurse specializing in operating room nursing to support cardiac surgical procedures. This role involves providing critical assistance to surgeons during operations, ensuring patient safety, and contributing to optimal outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the attending physician with exposure, hemostasis, closure, and other intraoperative technical functions during cardiac surgeries
• Perform preoperative and postoperative patient care to support successful perioperative outcomes
• Serve primarily as a second assistant during cardiac surgical cases
• Participate in regional on-call rotations to support the cardiac surgery program

Desired Qualifications:

• Registered Nurse (RN) licensure with proven experience in operating room nursing
• Specialized skills in cardiac surgical assistance or RN First Assistant (RNFA) certification preferred
• Ability to work collaboratively within a surgical team under physician supervision
• Strong understanding of perioperative nursing practices and patient care protocols
