Seeking a skilled registered nurse with experience in the operating room to support a busy Level 3 trauma center. The role requires coverage for surgical cases alongside perioperative care and coordination in a dynamic acute care environment.

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
  • One weekday on-call shift per week
  • 1-2 weekend on-call days per month

Key Qualifications:

  • Current RN license with Operating Room specialization
  • RNFA, PA, or SA (certification required; CST not accepted)
  • Proven experience in a trauma center or high-acuity surgical setting
  • Strong knowledge of surgical procedures, sterile technique, and perioperative protocols
  • Exceptional teamwork, communication, and assessment skills
  • Ability to remain calm and focused during fast-paced, high-pressure situations

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assist surgeons during procedures as a first assist, ensuring optimal patient outcomes
  • Coordinate and oversee perioperative care for surgical patients
  • Prepare, maintain, and manage the operating room environment for all scheduled procedures
  • Maintain rigorous adherence to safety and infection control procedures
  • Provide immediate support and critical thinking in emergency and trauma cases
  • Communicate promptly with multidisciplinary teams to facilitate smooth surgical workflows
  • Participate in call rotations, including scheduled weekday and weekend coverage

$1,815 - $1,920/Week Estimated weekly earnings represent hourly wages, based on 40 hours per week, and expense reimbursement for eligible candidates. The actual amount may vary based on hours worked, eligibility for reimbursements, and seasonal adjustments.
