Schedule/Hours:

• Weekly orientation every Monday

Key Qualifications:

• Active RN license
• Minimum of 2 years experience in the Operating Room setting
• Current BLS, ACLS certifications (additional certifications may be required)
• Familiarity with perioperative best practices
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
• Ability to adapt quickly within changing surgical environments
• Required compliance with New Mexico’s fingerprint/background check process (an expedited waiver allows immediate work, pending results)

Responsibilities:

• Deliver patient care throughout the surgical process
• Assist physicians and surgical staff, ensuring aseptic conditions and equipment functionality
• Educate and advocate for patients and families pre- and post-operatively
• Document interventions, observations, and outcomes with accuracy and timeliness
• Collaborate in multidisciplinary care planning and improvement initiatives
