Qualifications:

• Active RN license in good standing
• At least 1 year of recent Operating Room (OR) nursing experience required
• Proficiency in perioperative nursing procedures and sterile techniques
• BLS and ACLS certifications current
• Strong communication, organizational, and critical thinking abilities

Primary Responsibilities:

• Prepare operating rooms, ensuring supplies, instruments, and equipment are properly set up and functioning
• Assess patient condition pre-operatively and provide clear information to patients and families
• Monitor patient status throughout surgical procedures, anticipating needs and responding quickly to any changes
• Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical techs as integral members of the perioperative team
• Maintain meticulous documentation of surgical procedures and patient responses
• Implement infection control practices and uphold the highest standards of patient safety and care
• Support post-anesthesia care as needed, ensuring smooth transitions and comprehensive patient monitoring
