Surgical Unit RN - Millbrook, Alabama

Key Qualifications:

• Valid and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Proven experience in the Operating Room (OR) setting
• Current BLS and ACLS certification
• Strong knowledge of preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative protocols
• Excellent organizational and critical thinking skills
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and adapt to rapidly changing situations
• Exceptional communication and patient advocacy abilities

Schedule/Hours:

• Schedule based on facility needs, with potential for variable shifts

Primary Responsibilities:

• Prepare OR suites and surgical instruments for upcoming cases
• Circulate and/or scrub as required for diverse surgical specialties
• Monitor patient status and vital signs throughout perioperative phases
• Coordinate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and surgical technologists
• Adhere strictly to aseptic technique and infection control protocols
• Ensure patient safety, comfort, and dignity at every stage
• Document nursing assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately
• Provide patient education and emotional support to patients and families
