Step into a dynamic operating room environment, utilizing your skills as a Registered Nurse specializing in perioperative care. As a key member of the surgical team, you'll provide expert nursing support before, during, and after operative procedures, ensuring patient safety and exceptional outcomes throughout every phase.
Qualifications:
- Current, unencumbered RN license
- Minimum of one year experience working as an RN in an Operating Room
- Familiarity with perioperative nursing standards and surgical protocols
- Ability to respond quickly to changing situations in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills for patient interaction, collaboration, and documentation
- BLS and ACLS certifications (required or ability to obtain prior to start)
- Detail-oriented and highly organized, with solid time management abilities
Schedule/Hours:
- Contract position; specific details regarding shifts and length provided during interview
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare patients and operating environments for surgical procedures
- Monitor and assess patient conditions throughout pre-op, intra-op, and post-op stages
- Assist surgeons during operations by handing instruments and maintaining sterile fields
- Ensure proper documentation of all procedures and patient responses
- Support patient safety, infection control, and compliance with facility protocols
- Communicate proactively with surgical team members and other healthcare professionals
- Provide compassionate guidance and education to patients and families throughout the surgical experience
