Registered Nurse - Operating Room | Millbrook, Alabama

Seeking an experienced professional to deliver exceptional perioperative care within a dynamic operating room setting. The ideal candidate is a skilled registered nurse with expertise in the operating room environment, committed to best practices and patient-focused outcomes.

Key Qualifications:

• Active RN license in good standing
• Minimum of one year of recent experience in an operating room (OR) setting
• Demonstrated proficiency with perioperative nursing standards and sterile technique
• Strong critical thinking, assessment, and communication abilities
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced situations
• Collaborative approach to working with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and other perioperative team members

Primary Responsibilities:

• Assist in preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative phases of patient care
• Maintain strict adherence to surgical asepsis and infection control protocols
• Prepare operating suites with necessary instruments, equipment, and supplies
• Monitor patients’ status and document all relevant information accurately
• Provide support to surgical teams during procedures, including instrument handling and emergency interventions as needed
• Act as a patient advocate, prioritizing safety and comfort throughout their surgical experience
• Participate in departmental quality improvement initiatives and ongoing staff education

$2,193 - $2,312/Week Estimated weekly earnings represent hourly wages, based on 40 hours per week, and expense reimbursement for eligible candidates. The actual amount may vary based on hours worked, eligibility for reimbursements, and seasonal adjustments.
