Registered Nurse - Operating Room - Nashville, Tennessee

Exciting opportunity for an experienced Operating Room RN to support a dynamic, high-acuity hospital setting. This 26-week contract role places you within a 1000+ bed Level 1 trauma center, rotating through a 56-bed OR suite and five procedural rooms that serve inpatient and outpatient adult populations. Diverse case volume includes general, ortho, GYN, urology, plastics, neuro, trauma (adult only), vascular, transplant, cardiothoracic, robotic, and burn. Cardiac, pediatric, and transplant/neuro pediatric cases are not included.

Schedule and Facility Details:

• 12-hour shifts, 7a–7p (days of week will vary per unit need)
• No block scheduling; flexibility is essential
• Late stay required (expect four late stays per 13 weeks)
• Floating within OR pool as needed (no cross-location floating)
• Orientation start dates: 9/14, 9/28, 10/5, 10/12, 10/26 (must start one of these dates)
• Must commit to the full 26 weeks; limited time off permitted; expected to work two out of three holidays

Qualifications:

• Current and valid RN license (license must be active at time of submission)
• Minimum of two years’ recent experience circulating in the Operating Room
• Previous travel RN experience required
• Experience with a wide range of service lines (see above cases)
• Ability to adapt to fast-paced, high-volume procedural area
• Strong communication, critical thinking, and collaborative skills

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Maintain sterile field, anticipate surgical team needs, and adhere to safety standards
• Flex to late stays and changing workloads as needed per OR schedule

$1,941 - $2,123/Week Estimated weekly earnings represent hourly wages, based on 36 hours per week, and expense reimbursement for eligible candidates. The actual amount may vary based on hours worked, eligibility for reimbursements, and seasonal adjustments.
