Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • Valid and current Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Recent experience working in an Operating Room (OR) setting
  • Strong knowledge of perioperative procedures and infection control protocols
  • Proficiency in handling surgical instruments, sterilization, and preparing the OR for procedures
  • BLS and ACLS certifications (or ability to obtain prior to start)
  • Ability to assess, plan, and implement care for patients before, during, and after surgery
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical staff
  • Calm under pressure and adept at critical thinking in fast-paced environments

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare the operating room and ensure all surgical instruments and equipment are sterilized and functional
  • Provide patient care throughout the perioperative phases: pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative
  • Assist in surgical procedures by anticipating the needs of the surgical team and maintaining a sterile field
  • Monitor patient condition and document all observations and interventions accurately
  • Adhere strictly to safety and quality standards, ensuring compliance with all regulations and facility policies
  • Act as a patient advocate, ensuring comfort, confidentiality, and safety at all times

$2,323 - $2,458/Week Estimated weekly earnings represent hourly wages, based on 40 hours per week, and expense reimbursement for eligible candidates. The actual amount may vary based on hours worked, eligibility for reimbursements, and seasonal adjustments.
