Registered Nurse - Operating Room (OR RN) - New Iberia, LA

Required Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid RN license in good standing
• Minimum one year of recent experience working as an RN in an Operating Room setting
• Proficiency in perioperative nursing practice, including scrub and circulating duties
• Ability to respond efficiently in fast-paced, high-pressure scenarios
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS); Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred
• Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills

Schedule/Hours:

• Variable shifts, flexibility may be requested based on surgical schedules

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver skilled nursing care throughout the surgical process, including preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative phases
• Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and other perioperative team members
• Maintain strict adherence to infection control and safety protocols
• Accurately document patient information and surgical activities according to policy
• Provide support and advocacy to patients and families before, during, and after procedures
• Manage and prepare surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment
