Required Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid RN license in good standing
- Minimum one year of recent experience working as an RN in an Operating Room setting
- Proficiency in perioperative nursing practice, including scrub and circulating duties
- Ability to respond efficiently in fast-paced, high-pressure scenarios
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS); Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
Schedule/Hours:
- Variable shifts, flexibility may be requested based on surgical schedules
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver skilled nursing care throughout the surgical process, including preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative phases
- Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and other perioperative team members
- Maintain strict adherence to infection control and safety protocols
- Accurately document patient information and surgical activities according to policy
- Provide support and advocacy to patients and families before, during, and after procedures
- Manage and prepare surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment
