We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse skilled in the Operating Room to support surgical services on a contract basis. This role plays a vital part in providing patient-centered care before, during, and after surgical procedures while collaborating with surgeons, surgical technologists, and other medical team members.

Key Qualifications:

  • Active, unencumbered RN license
  • Demonstrated experience in the Operating Room setting
  • Solid understanding of surgical aseptic techniques and safety protocols
  • BLS certification (required); ACLS preferred
  • Strong critical thinking and communication abilities
  • Capacity to remain calm and organized in fast-paced, high-pressure situations

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Circulate and/or scrub during surgical procedures, ensuring appropriate preparation and support throughout
  • Assess, plan, and implement individualized care for surgical patients
  • Monitor patient status and respond quickly to changes or emergencies
  • Maintain strict adherence to infection control and hand hygiene practices
  • Accurately document patient care, medications, and interventions within the electronic medical record
  • Partner effectively with the surgical team to anticipate surgeon needs and promote optimal patient outcomes
  • Clean, restock, and maintain supplies, equipment, and OR suites according to facility protocols
