Travel OR RN in Overland Park, KS

Set in Overland Park, KS, this travel assignment offers the perfect blend of professional challenge and personal exploration. This position provides an excellent opportunity for seasoned Operating Room RNs to enrich their careers with exposure to a variety of surgical specialties, including general surgery, robotics, ortho, GU/GYN, ENT, and plastics. Working alongside knowledgeable surgical teams, you’ll expand your skill set, gain insight into varying leadership methods, and experience new workplace practices—all valuable additions to your nursing resume.

Schedule:

• Four 10-hour shifts, 0630-1700
• Occasional weekends (1-2 within a 3-month period)
• On-call requirements: 3-6 days over 3 months
• Minimal holiday coverage as needed

Qualifications:

• 1+ year of OR RN experience with diverse cases
• Active KS RN or Compact license
• Current AHA BLS certification
• Experience with general surgery, robotics, ortho, GU/GYN, ENT, and plastics
• New graduates not accepted

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality perioperative nursing care across a range of procedures
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary OR teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Demonstrate proficiency with EPIC EMR, following facility protocols
• Adhere to rigorous infection control and safety standards
• Participate in orientation and ongoing educational opportunities
