Exciting opportunity for an experienced Registered Nurse with a strong background in the Operating Room to provide crucial support in a dynamic surgical environment. This contract role is ideal for professionals who excel in fast-paced settings and enjoy collaborating with skilled surgical teams.
Schedule/Hours:
- 12-hour evening shifts, 36 hours per week
- 3 shifts per week
- One weekend shift every 3 to 4 weeks (evening)
- 1 to 2 on-call shifts per week
Qualifications:
- Active RN license
- Minimum 3-5 years of recent experience in an OR setting
- Current BLS certification
- Previous experience in trauma surgery is preferred, but not required
- Clinical background in any of the following specialties desired: General Surgery, GYN, GU, ENT, Orthopedics, or Robotics
- Strong communication skills and ability to work efficiently in a collaborative environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Circulate and/or scrub on a variety of surgical cases, ensuring patient safety and sterile technique at all times
- Prepare the operating room, instruments, and supplies prior to procedures
- Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical techs for smooth case flow
- Provide intraoperative nursing care, maintaining accurate documentation
- Respond promptly to emergency situations and support trauma cases as needed
- Participate in call coverage as scheduled, ensuring readiness for urgent surgical needs
