Step into an impactful nursing role in a dynamic operating room environment, providing specialized care and expertise for surgical patients. This contract position is designed for experienced Registered Nurses who thrive in fast-paced settings and are ready for immediate placement.

Schedule:

  • Three shifts per week (12 hours each), fixed:
    • Thursday & Friday: 6:45 AM – 7:15 PM
    • Saturday: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
  • Participation in call rotation is required, including weekdays, weekends, nights, and holidays.

Qualifications:

  • Active California Registered Nurse license
  • BLS and ACLS certifications
  • NIH Stroke Scale certification (NIHSS)
  • At least 2 years of relevant operating room experience, including work in Level I or II trauma centers
  • Ortho, Trauma, and Robotics proficiency required
  • Minimum of 1 year of travel nurse experience
  • Submission of a current Skills Checklist

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality perioperative nursing care and ensure patient safety throughout surgical procedures
  • Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other medical team members in high-acuity cases
  • Manage and maintain sterile fields and surgical instrumentation
  • Accurately document care in accordance with facility and regulatory standards
  • Respond effectively to urgent and emergent situations, including trauma cases
  • Flexibly adapt to required on-call shifts, stepping in as needed for surgeries or emergencies
