Registered Nurse - Operating Room (OR RN) in Pelham, AL

Join a dynamic perioperative team supporting surgical excellence in a modern operating room environment. This contract opportunity seeks experienced Registered Nurses with a strong background in OR nursing to provide outstanding care alongside skilled surgeons and fellow healthcare professionals.

Schedule:

• Four 10-hour shifts per week (40 hours total)
• Morning/AM shift

Key Qualifications:

• Active RN license with experience in the Operating Room
• Proficiency in orthopedic procedures, including total joint replacements
• Demonstrated skills in general and neuro (spine) surgeries
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Excellent communication and organizational skills

Core Responsibilities:

• Circulate and/or scrub for a variety of operative procedures, focusing on ortho, general, and neuro (spine) cases
• Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical techs to optimize patient care
• Ensure accurate maintenance of documentation and adherence to safety protocols
• Provide patient advocacy from preoperative assessment through postoperative recovery
• Maintain a sterile field and contribute to infection prevention efforts
