Registered Nurse - Operating Room (OR RN) - Pelham, AL

Seeking an experienced Registered Nurse with specialized expertise in the Operating Room (OR) for a contract position. This role involves providing skilled care in a fast-paced surgical environment, assisting surgeons during procedures, and ensuring the highest level of patient safety and satisfaction.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Active and unrestricted RN license
• Minimum of one year of recent experience in an Operating Room setting
• Proficiency with circulating and/or scrubbing in various surgical procedures
• Strong understanding of sterile techniques and infection control practices
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred
• Excellent communication and team collaboration skills
• Ability to respond quickly and calmly to emergent situations

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver expert nursing care before, during, and after surgical procedures
• Prepare and maintain the operating room for surgeries, ensuring all equipment and instruments are sterile and functioning
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and surgical technologists for seamless patient care
• Monitor patient status and vital signs throughout procedures, intervening as needed
• Maintain accurate documentation, adhering to facility protocols and regulatory requirements
• Uphold the highest standards for safety, confidentiality, and infection prevention
• Provide patient and family education regarding perioperative care

$2,064 - $2,176/Week Estimated weekly earnings represent hourly wages, based on 40 hours per week, and expense reimbursement for eligible candidates. The actual amount may vary based on hours worked, eligibility for reimbursements, and seasonal adjustments.
