Key Qualifications:

  • Active, unrestricted RN license
  • Recent experience working in an Operating Room environment (RN-OR)
  • Comprehensive knowledge of operating room protocols, sterile technique, and surgical instrumentation
  • Ability to circulate and/or scrub in a variety of surgical cases
  • Clear, professional communication and strong critical thinking skills
  • BLS and ACLS certifications (or willingness to obtain)

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and fellow nurses to deliver top-tier patient care
  • Prepare the OR suite and ensure surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies are sterile, organized, and readily available
  • Monitor patient status before, during, and after surgical procedures, responding promptly to any changes
  • Serve as a patient advocate, ensuring comfort, confidentiality, and compliance with best practices at all times
  • Maintain accurate documentation and uphold stringent safety and infection control standards
  • Assist with post-operative care, including patient assessments and education as needed
