Key Qualifications:
- Active, unrestricted RN license
- Recent experience working in an Operating Room environment (RN-OR)
- Comprehensive knowledge of operating room protocols, sterile technique, and surgical instrumentation
- Ability to circulate and/or scrub in a variety of surgical cases
- Clear, professional communication and strong critical thinking skills
- BLS and ACLS certifications (or willingness to obtain)
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and fellow nurses to deliver top-tier patient care
- Prepare the OR suite and ensure surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies are sterile, organized, and readily available
- Monitor patient status before, during, and after surgical procedures, responding promptly to any changes
- Serve as a patient advocate, ensuring comfort, confidentiality, and compliance with best practices at all times
- Maintain accurate documentation and uphold stringent safety and infection control standards
- Assist with post-operative care, including patient assessments and education as needed
