Advance your nursing career with an opportunity in the Operating Room as a Registered Nurse specializing in perioperative patient care. The role focuses on providing high-quality support before, during, and after surgical procedures. You'll work collaboratively with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical technologists to ensure a safe and efficient operative experience for patients.

Qualifications:

  • Valid RN license with eligibility to practice in NY
  • Minimum 1 year of recent experience as an Operating Room RN
  • Current BLS certification (ACLS preferred)
  • Strong understanding of surgical procedures and sterile technique
  • Excellent critical thinking, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and handle stressful situations
  • Demonstrated experience in circulating and/or scrubbing is a plus

Responsibilities:

  • Assess, plan, and implement nursing care for patients undergoing surgery
  • Serve as a liaison between the surgical team and patient’s family members
  • Prepare the operating room with necessary instruments, supplies, and equipment
  • Monitor patient status and vital signs throughout procedures
  • Maintain strict adherence to infection control and safety regulations
  • Provide clear documentation and accurate patient records
  • Support and guide other members of the perioperative team as needed
  • Participate in ongoing quality improvement initiatives
