Deliver high-quality perioperative care in a dynamic surgical setting as an experienced RN with operating room expertise. This contract role calls for a clinically skilled nurse to support specialized procedures in a busy, Level 1 trauma facility. As part of the OR team, you'll care for pediatric through geriatric patients undergoing a wide variety of surgical interventions.

Available Schedules:

  • Choose between 4x10-hour or 4x12-hour shifts
  • Day shifts: 7:00am–7:30pm (36 hrs) or 7:00am–5:00pm (40 hrs)
  • Occasional weekends and call shifts may apply

Required Qualifications:

  • Valid RN license with a minimum of 2 years' recent operating room experience
  • BLS and ACLS certifications (PALS and AORN membership preferred)
  • Proficiency with ENT, dental, plastics, pediatric, and trauma procedures
  • Experience in a high-acuity, fast-paced surgical environment
  • Strong adaptability, patient-centered approach, and aptitude for effective teamwork

Core Responsibilities:

  • Circulate and/or scrub on complex surgeries, including laryngoscopy, facial plastics and trauma, cochlear implantation, oral surgery, and cancer-related head and neck operations
  • Ensure patient safety and quality care from pre-op through PACU transfer
  • Collaborate with surgeons and interdisciplinary care teams
  • Utilize EPIC EMR for accurate documentation and patient tracking
  • Remain responsive to the unique needs and conditions of both pediatric and adult surgical patients
