An exciting opportunity awaits registered nurses with specialized operating room experience to join a dynamic surgical team at a Level One Trauma Center. This assignment is contract-based and specifically focused on Gynecology and Genitourinary procedures, working with an extensive perioperative patient population ranging from pediatrics to geriatrics.

Schedule/Hours:

  • 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM, 12-hour shifts
  • Guaranteed 36 hours per week
  • Weekend requirement: 1 out of every 4 weekends
  • Overnight call: One 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM overnight shift per rotation for Trauma; specialty team calls vary by assignment

Qualifications/Experience:

  • Active RN license with at least 2 years operating room experience (3 years and Level 1 trauma training preferred)
  • Proficiency with Robotics (Davinci Xi), PCNLs, nephrectomies, ureteral reimplants, hysterectomies, cystectomies, colpocleisis, hysteroscopies, and ureteroscopies
  • Experience caring for both pediatric and geriatric populations
  • CNOR certification highly valued
  • Comfort working in fast-paced, high-acuity settings
  • Must demonstrate flexibility, accountability, timeliness, and strong team collaboration

Responsibilities:

  • Circulate and/or scrub for GU/GYN and multi-specialty surgical cases
  • Respond effectively in trauma situations and demonstrate critical thinking under pressure
  • Utilize equipment such as Storz, Stryker, Olympus, and Intuitive Robot
  • Chart patient care activities using the Epic EMR system
  • Adhere to strict patient safety standards and protocols
  • Wear hospital-issued teal scrubs
