Exciting opportunities await experienced Registered Nurses with a strong background in operating room procedures and Level 1 trauma care. This contract position involves providing specialized care for patients undergoing gynecology and genitourinary surgeries in a dynamic, high-acuity environment. The role requires outstanding surgical nursing skills, adaptability, and a commitment to delivering exceptional patient outcomes.

Schedule & Hours:

  • 7:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. shifts
  • 36 guaranteed hours per week
  • Weekend rotation: 1 in 4 weekends (12-hour shifts)
  • Overnight trauma call required (one 11:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m. shift); call scheduling varies by specialty team

Qualifications:

  • Valid RN license in good standing
  • Minimum of 2 years RN experience; at least 3 years Level 1 trauma experience preferred
  • Demonstrated expertise in Robotics (Davinci Xi), PCNLs, Nephrectomies, Ureteral Reimplants, Hysterectomies, Cystectomies, Colpocleisis, Hysteroscopies, and Ureteroscopies
  • Experience with a patient population ranging from pediatrics through geriatrics
  • CNOR certification preferred
  • Knowledge of equipment such as Storz, Stryker, Olympus, and Intuitive Robot
  • Comfortable using Epic EMR

Key Responsibilities:

  • Circulate and/or scrub for complex GU/GYN and related surgical procedures
  • Maintain a safe, sterile operative environment at all times
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure excellent patient care before, during, and after surgery
  • Demonstrate flexibility, accountability, and professionalism while managing urgent or trauma cases
  • Uphold best practices in documentation and communication
