Registered Nurse - Operating Room (OR RN) in Prattville, AL

Schedule/Hours:

Preferred Qualifications and Experience:

• Active, unencumbered RN license
• Current BLS certification; ACLS preferred
• Minimum of 1 year of recent Operating Room nursing experience
• Familiarity with perioperative procedures, surgical instrument handling, and aseptic techniques
• Strong critical thinking, organizational, and assessment skills
• Ability to stay calm and focused in fast-paced, high-stakes situations
• Team player with excellent communication skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Circulate and/or scrub for a variety of surgical procedures
• Monitor patient safety, comfort, and vital signs throughout surgery
• Prepare the OR with required instruments and supplies
• Maintain a sterile field and accurately document intraoperative details
• Collaborate closely with all surgical team members
• Follow strict infection prevention protocols and hospital policies
• Provide post-operative assessment and support as needed
• Respond promptly and effectively to emergencies
