Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide perioperative nursing care to patients undergoing surgery in a Level 1 trauma center
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
  • Maintain competency in multiple surgical services
  • Follow safety protocols and best nursing practices within the operating room
  • Communicate effectively with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and support staff during procedures

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Registered Nurse (RN) license with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in inpatient surgery
  • Demonstrated Level 1 trauma care experience is required
  • Current BLS certification
  • Competency in at least 5 surgical service areas
  • Positive attitude with flexibility and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced clinical setting
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Schedule:

  • AM shifts, commonly 12-hour days
  • Specific weekend shifts: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
