Schedule/Hours:

  • Contract position with variable shifts (specific scheduling communicated during the interview process)

Qualifications:

  • Active RN license in good standing
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in an Operating Room (OR) setting
  • BLS certification (additional certifications such as ACLS preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of OR nursing policies, including preoperative and postoperative care
  • Excellent critical thinking, communication, and assessment skills
  • Ability to maintain composure and efficiency in high-stress surgical situations

Key Responsibilities:

  • Circulate and/or scrub for surgical procedures, ensuring all necessary tools and equipment are sterile and ready
  • Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, surgical techs, and other healthcare professionals
  • Safeguard patient safety by maintaining aseptic technique and adhering to infection control standards
  • Administer medications and monitor patient responses throughout perioperative phases
  • Provide thorough handoffs and accurate documentation of patient care
  • Facilitate an environment of respect, compassion, and patient advocacy
