Qualifications:
- Current, valid RN license in the state
- BLS (AHA) certification at hire and ongoing
- ACLS (AHA) within 30 days of hire, maintained thereafter
- PALS (AHA) within 30 days of hire, maintained thereafter
- At least one year of perioperative experience or comprehensive on-the-job training
- Certified Nurse OR (CNOR) preferred
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- EPIC EMR proficiency
- Experience in both pre-op and post-op nursing
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and indirect patient care across age groups in the perioperative setting, utilizing the full nursing process
- Coordinate patient care with the surgical team, guide OR Technicians, and collaborate with interdisciplinary staff from assessment through evaluation
- Ensure adherence to policies, regulatory standards, and hospital procedures
- Participate in unit meetings, performance improvement initiatives, and departmental in-services
- Serve as a clinical resource for peers as needed
- Maintain efficient patient flow, unit organization, and quality care standards
