This assignment offers the unique opportunity to work in a dynamic main operating room of a top-tier medical facility. You’ll collaborate alongside seasoned professionals at a hospital recognized with national honors for safety, trauma care, and patient satisfaction. Immerse yourself in the fast-paced, high-acuity environment of a Level 1 Trauma and Burn Center, where exposure to innovative technology and various surgery types will elevate your clinical skills, broaden your expertise, and enrich your resume. Schedule:

  • Evening shifts: 4x10s, 10:30am-9:00pm
  • 36 guaranteed hours weekly
  • Weekends and on-call as needed (average 5 or fewer per 8 weeks)
  • 13-week assignment

Qualifications:

  • Active RN license eligible for Missouri
  • BLS certification (AHA required)
  • Minimum two years’ experience in Level 1 or 2 Trauma, including scrub and circulator roles (teaching hospital experience accepted)
  • Flexibility to float as needed
  • Strong communication, assessment, and patient-centered care skills

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct patient care across age groups—assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary care, ensuring optimal patient outcomes and satisfaction
  • Support patient rights and confidentiality
  • Participate in orientation and ongoing education
  • Stand, walk, lift, and push up to 50 lbs; work in an air-conditioned environment
