Registered Nurse - Operating Room | Rochester, New York

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Current and valid RN license required
• Minimum of one year of recent experience in an Operating Room (OR) setting
• BLS certification (ACLS or PALS may be preferred)
• Strong knowledge of aseptic technique and patient safety standards during perioperative care
• Excellent critical thinking and communication skills
• Ability to remain calm and organized under pressure
• Detail-oriented with superior documentation abilities

Typical Responsibilities:

• Prepare the operating room and ensure all necessary surgical equipment is present and sterile
• Provide direct patient care before, during, and after procedures
• Monitor patient status, vital signs, and respond quickly to emergent situations
• Collaborate with the surgical team to plan and implement appropriate interventions
• Maintain a safe environment and ensure compliance with infection control protocols
• Document intraoperative care and assessments accurately in the medical record
