Registered Nurse - Operating Room (OR RN) in Rosamond, CA

An immediate opportunity is available for experienced Operating Room Registered Nurses seeking a contract role in a dynamic surgical environment. This position accommodates two travel RNs for a 13-week assignment, supporting critical orthopedic, trauma, and robotic cases in a fast-paced perioperative setting.

Schedule/Hours:

• 3x12 hour fixed shifts
  • Option 1: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday – 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM
  • Option 2: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday – 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM
• Call required (includes weekdays, weekends, nights, and holidays)

Qualifications:

• Valid, unrestricted California RN license
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
• Minimum 2 years of recent OR experience, including at least one year with Level I or II trauma centers
• Prior travel RN experience (1 year minimum)
• Demonstrated proficiency in orthopedic, trauma, and robotic procedures
• Completion of a skills checklist at submission

Key Responsibilities:

• Circulate and scrub on diverse surgical cases, with an emphasis on trauma, orthopedics, and robotics
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical teams to deliver expert perioperative support
• Adhere to strict safety, documentation, and infection control protocols
• Respond to call requirements, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
• Maintain a high level of clinical readiness for urgent and emergent surgical cases
