Registered Nurse - Operating Room (OR RN) in Salisbury, NC

Schedule/Hours:

• 12-hour day shifts, 11:00 am – 11:00 pm
• 36 hours per week
• Average of 6 on-call shifts per 6-week schedule, with a 45-minute response time
• Call may be scheduled 11:00 pm – 7:00 am, or 7:00 am – 7:00 pm/7:00 pm – 7:00 am on weekends
• Weekend shifts may include call or a scheduled 7:00 am – 7:00 pm shift depending on department needs
• 75% of holidays required

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license with current registration
• Demonstrated Operating Room nursing experience (circulating and/or scrubbing)
• BLS or equivalent certification required; ACLS preferred
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and ability to work in a fast-paced surgical environment
• Prior hospital OR experience required

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care during surgical procedures while collaborating with the perioperative team
• Ensure the safety and comfort of patients before, during, and after surgery
• Adhere to infection control protocols and ensure proper surgical asepsis
• Partner with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical technologists to optimize patient outcomes
• Participate in call coverage and meet outlined response times
• Contribute to a supportive, team-oriented atmosphere

$1,685 - $1,843/Week Estimated weekly earnings represent hourly wages, based on 36 hours per week, and expense reimbursement for eligible candidates. The actual amount may vary based on hours worked, eligibility for reimbursements, and seasonal adjustments.
