Registered Nurse - Operating Room (OR RN) in Salisbury, NC

Schedule/Hours:

• 12-hour day shifts, 36 hours per week
• Shift time: 11:00 a.m. – 11:00 p.m.
• Average of 6 on-call shifts per 6-week schedule; 45-minute on-call response time required
• On-call hours: 11:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m. or 7:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m./7:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m. on weekends
• Weekend rotation: May include call or a scheduled 7:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. shift, depending on needs
• Holiday coverage required for 75% of holidays
• No floating to other units

Qualifications:

• Current and valid RN license
• Recent experience in perioperative/operating room (OR) nursing
• BLS certification required; additional certifications (such as CNOR) preferred
• Proficient in circulating and scrubbing procedures
• Ability to respond within 45 minutes while on-call
• Calm under pressure with outstanding critical thinking and communication skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver evidence-based nursing care in the operating room
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and nursing staff to ensure patient safety
• Prepare and manage surgical supplies and equipment
• Monitor patient status throughout procedures
• Participate in pre- and post-operative briefings
• Remain accessible and ready during on-call periods
