Registered Nurse - Operating Room | Santa Clarita, California

Exciting opportunity for an experienced Registered Nurse specializing in the Operating Room to support a dynamic surgical team. This contract position provides the chance to work alongside skilled professionals and care for patients undergoing a diverse range of procedures, including ortho, trauma, and robotics cases.

Schedule:

• 3 x 12-hour shifts per week, fixed
• Thursday & Friday: 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM
• Saturday: 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Call coverage required on weekdays, weekends, nights, and holidays

Key Qualifications:

• Valid California RN license
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
• At least 2 years of recent Operating Room experience, including Level I or II trauma
• Experience with ortho, trauma, and robotics surgeries
• Minimum 1 year of travel nursing experience
• Skills checklist submitted at the time of application

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver safe, high-quality nursing care to patients in the Operating Room
• Assist surgical teams during complex ortho, trauma, and robotic procedures
• Respond effectively in high-acuity situations as part of a Level I/II trauma team
• Monitor patients before, during, and after surgery for optimal outcomes
• Communicate collaboratively with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and allied health staff
• Maintain strict infection control and safety protocols throughout the surgical process
• Participate in required on-call rotation, ensuring seamless coverage for emergent surgical needs
