Operating Room RN in Santa Clarita, CA

A dynamic opportunity is available for a Registered Nurse with Operating Room expertise on a 13-week travel contract in Santa Clarita, CA. This position requires a reliable professional skilled in orthopedic, trauma, and robotic surgery to deliver exceptional perioperative care in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive intraoperative nursing care for orthopedic, trauma, and robotic surgical procedures
• Collaborate closely with surgical teams to ensure patient safety and adherence to clinical protocols
• Manage surgical instruments and maintain sterile fields
• Respond promptly on-call during weekdays, weekends, nights, and holidays as required
• Demonstrate proficient assessment and critical thinking skills in a high-acuity setting

Schedule:

• Fixed 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each
• Thursday & Friday: 6:45 AM – 7:15 PM
• Saturday: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• On-call duties as required across all days

Qualifications:

• Active California RN license
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Minimum 2 years of relevant OR nursing experience, including Level I or II trauma
• At least 1 year of prior travel nursing experience
• Demonstrated expertise in Ortho, Trauma, and Robotics
• Completion of a skills checklist upon submission
