Expertise in perioperative care is essential for this key role in a fast-paced surgical environment. As a professional with RN-Operating Room skills, you will work closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and the healthcare team to ensure safe and efficient procedures for patients.

Key Qualifications:

  • Current, valid RN license
  • Experience in an Operating Room or perioperative setting
  • Strong knowledge of aseptic technique and infection control
  • Ability to remain calm and focused under pressure
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (Advanced Cardiac Life Support, ACLS, preferred)
  • Ability to adapt and prioritize in a dynamic environment

Core Responsibilities:

  • Prepare the operating room and maintain sterile field throughout procedures
  • Assist the surgical team during operations, anticipating needs and providing necessary instruments and supplies
  • Monitor patient status before, during, and immediately after procedures, reporting changes promptly
  • Ensure accurate and timely completion of all documentation
  • Adhere strictly to facility policies and safety protocols
  • Participate in pre-op and post-op patient care and education
  • Communicate clearly with patients, families, and the multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal care
