A Registered Nurse with operating room specialization is needed for a contract position supporting a dynamic surgical unit in Scarborough, ME. This role offers dedicated hours with options for 4x10 or 4x12 shifts, creating a flexible work schedule to fit your lifestyle.

Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver perioperative nursing care within the OR, specializing in ENT, dental, plastics, pediatrics, and trauma Level 1 procedures.
- Support complex surgeries including laryngoscopy, sinus surgery, facial plastics, cochlear implants, oral surgery, head and neck cancer surgery, tonsillectomy, and tympanoplasty.
- Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to manage patient care from preoperative through postoperative phases.
- Utilize the EPIC EMR system for accurate documentation and communication.
- Adapt to a fast-paced environment with a focus on patient-centered care.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Current RN license with at least 2 years of operating room experience.
- Required certifications: BLS and ACLS; PALS and AORN certification highly desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex surgical cases and work effectively in high-pressure situations.
- Strong flexibility, patient focus, and teamwork skills to thrive in a collaborative setting.
Schedule/Hours:
- 4x10 or 4x12 hour shifts available.
- Typical shifts: 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM (40 hours) or 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM (36 hours) with occasional weekend and call requirements.
- Guaranteed 36 hours weekly.
