Step into a dynamic surgical environment as a Registered Nurse in the Operating Room, where your expertise will support specialized ENT, dental, plastics, pediatric, and trauma procedures. This contract role offers the flexibility of either four 10-hour shifts or four 12-hour shifts each week, with a guaranteed 36 hours and occasional weekend or call responsibilities. Work alongside a collaborative, patient-focused team, leveraging your skills in a fast-paced, high-acuity setting.
Schedule Options:
- 4x10-hour or 4x12-hour shifts
- Start at 7:00 am; end at 5:00 pm or 7:30 pm, based on shift
- 36 hours weekly, with occasional weekend and on-call rotation
Qualifications:
- Active RN license
- Minimum of two years’ Operating Room experience
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications (PALS preferred)
- Familiarity with EPIC charting system
- Experience managing cases in ENT, dental, plastics, pediatric, and trauma Level I
- Ability to work effectively with pediatric through geriatric patients
- Adaptable, patient-centered, and a strong team collaborator
- AORN membership highly valued
Role Responsibilities:
- Circulate and/or scrub in a variety of surgical cases including laryngoscopy, sinus surgery, oral/maxillofacial, cochlear implants, head and neck cancer, tonsillectomy, and tympanoplasty
- Ensure safe, patient-focused care throughout pre-, intra-, and post-operative phases
- Maintain efficient communication with interdisciplinary teams
- Adhere strictly to safety and infection prevention protocols
- Document care in EPIC EMR with accuracy and timeliness
- Uphold a professional, flexible demeanor to meet shifting priorities
