Key Qualifications:
- Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse license
- At least one year of recent experience in an Operating Room (OR) setting
- Reliable knowledge of surgical procedures, instruments, and sterile techniques
- Proficient in patient assessment, surgical documentation, and critical thinking under pressure
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification; ACLS preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to coordinate with the surgical team
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive perioperative care, including patient preparation, monitoring, and recovery support
- Assist surgeons during operative procedures, maintaining a sterile environment and anticipating needs
- Monitor patient status and report changes promptly to physicians and other healthcare team members
- Administer medications and record detailed documentation throughout the surgical process
- Ensure equipment and instruments are properly sterilized and available for procedures
- Educate patients and families about the surgical process and post-operative care instructions
