Key Qualifications:

  • Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse license
  • At least one year of recent experience in an Operating Room (OR) setting
  • Reliable knowledge of surgical procedures, instruments, and sterile techniques
  • Proficient in patient assessment, surgical documentation, and critical thinking under pressure
  • Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification; ACLS preferred
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to coordinate with the surgical team

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive perioperative care, including patient preparation, monitoring, and recovery support
  • Assist surgeons during operative procedures, maintaining a sterile environment and anticipating needs
  • Monitor patient status and report changes promptly to physicians and other healthcare team members
  • Administer medications and record detailed documentation throughout the surgical process
  • Ensure equipment and instruments are properly sterilized and available for procedures
  • Educate patients and families about the surgical process and post-operative care instructions
