Registered Nurse - Operating Room (OR RN) in Shawnee, KS

An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Registered Nurse to work in the Operating Room within a reputable healthcare facility. This contract role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on patient care in a dynamic surgical environment, working closely with a multidisciplinary team.

Desired Qualifications:

• Current and valid RN license
• Demonstrated experience as an RN in an Operating Room setting
• Strong knowledge of perioperative nursing procedures
• Ability to support both circulating and scrub roles preferred
• Evidence of excellent organizational and communication skills
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred

Responsibilities:

• Assist surgeons and the surgical team during operative procedures, ensuring a safe environment for patients
• Prepare and maintain operating rooms and surgical instruments
• Monitor patients’ vital signs, anesthesia status, and overall well-being throughout procedures
• Adhere to strict aseptic techniques and infection control protocols
• Accurately document all aspects of surgical care and provide post-operative assessment as needed
• Collaborate closely with physicians, surgical techs, and other healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional patient outcomes
