Job Type Contract

Highly skilled Registered Nurses with Operating Room experience are needed for contract roles with flexible schedule options of 4x10 or 4x12 shifts. This opportunity focuses on perioperative care for a diverse surgical patient population, including pediatric through geriatric cases. Nurses will work in a fast-paced environment supporting ENT, dental, plastics, pediatric, trauma, and head and neck surgeries.

Schedule Options

  • 4x10-hour or 4x12-hour shifts
  • Start times at 7:00am; shifts may end at 5:00pm or 7:30pm
  • Occasional weekends or call required
  • Guaranteed 36 hours per week

Qualifications

  • Active, unencumbered RN license
  • Minimum 2 years Operating Room experience
  • Certification in BLS and ACLS (PALS and AORN preferred)
  • Experience with ENT, dental, plastics, pediatric, trauma, and Level 1 operations
  • Skilled in responding and adapting within high-acuity, dynamic settings
  • Familiarity with EPIC EMR preferred

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality nursing care throughout all perioperative phases
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support complex procedures such as laryngoscopy, sinus surgery, facial plastics and trauma, cochlear implants, oral surgery, cancer surgeries, tonsillectomy, and tympanoplasty
  • Adhere to best practices in patient safety and surgical protocols
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare colleagues
  • Maintain accurate documentation in EMR systems
