Exciting opportunities are available for experienced Registered Nurses specializing in Operating Room environments. This contract role offers the chance to work alongside a skilled surgical team in a dynamic, high-acuity setting. Choose between flexible 4x10 or 4x12 hour shifts to fit your lifestyle. Shifts may include occasional weekend coverage or call, depending on facility needs.
Schedule/Hours:
- 4x10 or 4x12 hour shifts
- Typical shifts: 7:00 am – 7:30 pm (36 hours), 7:00 am – 5:00 pm (40 hours)
- Occasional weekends or call rotations (as required)
- 36 hours guaranteed weekly
Qualifications:
- Active and unencumbered RN license
- Minimum 2 years of recent Operating Room nursing experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications required; PALS preferred
- AORN certification a plus
- Demonstrated competence in ENT, Dental, Plastics, Pediatrics, and Trauma Level 1 surgeries
- Experience with a variety of surgical procedures such as laryngoscopy, sinus surgery, facial plastics and trauma, cochlear implants, oral surgery, complex head and neck cancer surgery, tonsillectomy, and tympanoplasty
- Proficiency with EPIC EMR
- Strong adaptability to high-paced environments
- Team-oriented, patient-focused professional demeanor
Responsibilities:
- Deliver nursing care for a wide age range of surgical patients, from pediatrics to geriatrics
- Assist in a busy surgical suite covering multiple specialties
- Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams for safe, evidence-based patient care
- Respond effectively to urgent or emergent patient needs
- Maintain the highest standards of clinical practice and patient safety
- Participate in required on-call rotations as directed
