A specialized opportunity is open for an experienced Registered Nurse with expertise in the Operating Room environment, focusing on Gynecology and Genitourinary surgical procedures. This contract role is ideal for a professional with a minimum of three years as a Level 1 trauma-trained RN, seeking to apply advanced surgical nursing skills in a high-acuity setting.

Qualified candidates will demonstrate proficiency with the DaVinci Xi robotic system and possess experience with procedures including PCNLs, Nephrectomies, Ureteral Reimplants, Hysterectomies, Cystectomies, Colpocleisis, Hysteroscopies, and Ureteroscopies. Comfort in caring for a diverse patient population ranging from pediatric to geriatric is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver specialized perioperative nursing care in a 26-bed Level One Trauma Center operating room.
  • Collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams managing trauma and specialty cases such as cardiac, thoracic, vascular, neuro, and orthopedic surgeries.
  • Maintain patient safety and manage complex surgical cases using advanced surgical equipment (Storz, Stryker, Olympus, Intuitive Robot).
  • Utilize Epic EMR system for documentation and patient care coordination.
  • Participate in scheduled call rotations and provide trauma call support as required.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years of operating room nursing experience with Level 1 trauma competency.
  • CNOR certification preferred.
  • Skilled in robotics-assisted surgery and a spectrum of GU/GYN operative procedures.
  • Demonstrated flexibility, accountability, punctuality, and strong teamwork orientation.

Schedule & Contract Details:

  • Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
  • Weekly Hours: 36 guaranteed; includes 3x12-hour shifts and 1:4 weekend rotation
  • Call: One overnight trauma call per week (11:00 PM – 7:00 AM), specialty team call schedules may vary.
  • Duration: 13 weeks
