Advance your surgical nursing career within a dynamic, high-acuity operating room at a Level One Trauma Center. This contract opportunity focuses on gynecology and genitourinary procedures, providing care for a diverse patient population ranging from pediatrics to geriatrics. The role is tailored for nurses with robust operative experience, seeking challenging cases in a collaborative and supportive environment.

Schedule/Hours:

  • Day shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
  • Guaranteed 36 hours weekly
  • Rotating weekends: 1 in 4, 12-hour shifts
  • Call requirement: One overnight (11 PM – 7 AM) for trauma; additional call may apply if assigned to a specialty team

Key Qualifications:

  • Active RN license
  • Minimum 3 years' Level 1 trauma nursing experience
  • CNOR certification preferred
  • Demonstrated skill with robotics (Davinci Xi), PCNLs, nephrectomies, ureteral reimplants, hysterectomies, cystectomies, colpocleisis, hysteroscopies, and ureteroscopies
  • Comfort with surgical care for all ages

Responsibilities:

  • Circulate and assist as an RN for a broad spectrum of gynecology and GU cases in a 26-bed operating unit
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care
  • Respond effectively in high-pressure trauma situations
  • Adhere to strict safety protocols and documentation requirements using Epic EMR
  • Participate in department-specific training and adhere to dress code (teal hospital-issued scrubs)

Preferred background includes exposure to general surgery, ortho trauma, neurosurgery, ENT, plastics, pediatrics, and endovascular procedures. Flexibility, accountability, punctuality, and strong teamwork are essential attributes for success on this team.
