Travel Registered Nurse - Operating Room (OR RN) - South Portland, ME

Schedule/Hours:

• 10 or 12-hour shifts
• 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM day shifts
• 1:4 weekends, 12-hour shifts
• One overnight call (11:00 PM – 7:00 AM for Trauma); additional specialty team call as applicable
• 36 weekly guaranteed hours

Qualifications:

• Current, active RN license in good standing
• Minimum two years’ experience in OR nursing, ideally Level 1 trauma
• Advanced proficiency in orthopedic surgery, including complex total joint revisions and trauma procedures
• Familiarity with multi-vendor systems (Stryker, DePuy, Smith & Nephew, Zimmer)
• Experience with Mako robotic surgery and Hana table
• CNOR preferred
• Adaptability in fast-paced, high-acuity settings
• Weekend and extended shift availability required

Key Responsibilities:

• First scrub complex total joint revision cases and multi-vendor procedures
• Proficient operation with advanced surgical technologies (robotics, specialty tables)
• Assist in polytrauma and orthopedic cases independently
• Maintain high efficiency: 30-minute room turnovers and 90% first case on-time start
• Collaborate within a cohesive, high-performing surgical team spanning five orthopedic ORs
