Advance your nursing expertise in a dynamic Operating Room environment by supporting surgical patients through their perioperative journey. This contract opportunity is tailored for experienced RNs seeking to collaborate within a multidisciplinary team and provide patient-centered care in a fast-paced setting.
Schedule/Hours:
- Day shift
- 2–8 hour call shifts every 4 weeks
- 30-minute response time required
Qualifications:
- Active California RN license
- Current CPR and NRP certifications
- Minimum three years of recent experience as a Registered Nurse
- At least two years of recent experience in a specialty area such as the Operating Room
- Completion of an OR questionnaire as part of the application process
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized, holistic care that promotes optimal recovery and aligns with patient-identified goals
- Apply the nursing process—assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation—to provide safe and therapeutic care
- Serve as a strong patient and family advocate, facilitating communication and decision-making
- Document patient needs, plans, interventions, and evaluations clearly and accurately
- Adapt nursing interventions to be age-appropriate and culturally sensitive
- Collaborate effectively with healthcare team members and ancillary staff to coordinate and expedite patient care
- Identify, develop, and implement educational plans for patients and families, using adult-learning theory as a foundation
- Respond to complex or high-risk situations with sound clinical judgment, utilizing available resources as needed
- Delegate patient care tasks within team members’ scope and competency
