Registered Nurse - Operating Room - Spring Valley, California

Advance your nursing expertise in a dynamic Operating Room environment by supporting surgical patients through their perioperative journey. This contract opportunity is tailored for experienced RNs seeking to collaborate within a multidisciplinary team and provide patient-centered care in a fast-paced setting.

Schedule/Hours:

• Day shift
• 2–8 hour call shifts every 4 weeks
• 30-minute response time required

Qualifications:

• Active California RN license
• Current CPR and NRP certifications
• Minimum three years of recent experience as a Registered Nurse
• At least two years of recent experience in a specialty area such as the Operating Room
• Completion of an OR questionnaire as part of the application process

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized, holistic care that promotes optimal recovery and aligns with patient-identified goals
• Apply the nursing process—assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation—to provide safe and therapeutic care
• Serve as a strong patient and family advocate, facilitating communication and decision-making
• Document patient needs, plans, interventions, and evaluations clearly and accurately
• Adapt nursing interventions to be age-appropriate and culturally sensitive
• Collaborate effectively with healthcare team members and ancillary staff to coordinate and expedite patient care
• Identify, develop, and implement educational plans for patients and families, using adult-learning theory as a foundation
• Respond to complex or high-risk situations with sound clinical judgment, utilizing available resources as needed
• Delegate patient care tasks within team members’ scope and competency
