OR Nurse (RN) | Spring Valley, California

This contract position is ideal for a skilled OR nurse seeking opportunities to use critical thinking and specialized nursing knowledge while working alongside a dedicated healthcare team.

Schedule/Hours:

• Day shift
• 2–8 hour on-call shifts every 4 weeks (30-minute response time required)

Desired Qualifications:

• Active CA RN license
• BLS (CPR) and NRP certifications
• Three years of recent nursing experience, with at least two years in an OR or specialty environment
• Strong assessment, documentation, and communication skills
• Ability to complete an OR-specific pre-submission questionnaire

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized, holistic care tailored to each patient and family’s needs and goals during the perioperative process
• Implement the complete nursing process, including detailed assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation to safely guide patient recovery
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to manage complex or high-risk clinical scenarios, seeking additional resources as necessary
• Serve as a patient and family advocate, ensuring high-quality, satisfying care and clear communication throughout every phase of treatment
• Participate in patient care conferences and communicate evolving patient and family needs to the care team
• Address educational needs through thoughtful, adult-learning-based plans tailored to each patient and family
• Recognize and adapt to communication barriers, integrating interdisciplinary expertise to maintain therapeutic relationships
• Delegate responsibilities appropriately and coordinate care with team members to optimize outcomes and workflow
