Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver safe, high-quality patient care in the operating room, scrubbing and circulating as needed
- Serve as an educator, preceptor, and resource for nursing staff, fostering professional growth and competency development
- Assist in onboarding and ongoing training of OR nurses, providing feedback and guidance to enhance clinical skills
- Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical teams to optimize patient outcomes
- Develop educational materials, conduct in-services, and maintain compliance with current best practices and accreditation standards
- Monitor and assess competencies, helping ensure adherence to protocols and safety requirements
Qualifications & Experience:
- Active and unencumbered RN license
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications (preferred)
- Minimum of two years’ experience as an RN in the Operating Room with demonstrated clinical proficiency
- Prior experience in nurse education, preceptorship, or staff development in a perioperative environment
- Strong communication, teaching, and collaboration skills
- Ability to assess learning needs and tailor education accordingly
