This travel nursing opportunity places you in a Level I Trauma Center renowned for its teaching focus, status as a Magnet facility, and advanced surgical technologies, including five surgical robots. Working alongside top clinical teams, you’ll gain exceptional exposure to diverse surgical procedures and leadership styles, setting your resume apart with invaluable hands-on experience. Schedule/Hours:
- Day shift: 3x12-hour shifts, Monday—Friday (6:30 am – 7:00 pm)
- On-call required: 5–8 calls per month, including weekends and some holidays
Qualifications:
- Active SC or multi-state RN license (must be in hand at the start)
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in OR nursing required
- Competency in scrubbing & circulating general OR cases necessary
- Highly preferred: Background in plastics, colorectal, urology, MIS, pancreatic/biliary, surgical oncology
- BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA only)
- Willingness to obtain/provide a radiation badge (agency-provided)
- First-time travelers are not preferred
Key Responsibilities:
- Scrub and circulate a wide range of general operating room cases
- Collaborate within multidisciplinary teams to deliver outstanding patient care in high acuity surgical settings
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation using EPIC
- Adhere to safety and procedural protocols, including emergency assignments during hurricane season if needed
