Registered Nurse - Operating Room | Trussville, Alabama

Key Qualifications:

• Current and unencumbered RN license
• Minimum of one year experience as an RN in an Operating Room setting
• Proficient in circulating and/or scrubbing in a variety of surgical procedures
• Strong critical thinking and communication skills
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams

Schedule/Hours:

• Flexible contract shifts based on facility needs

Primary Responsibilities:

• Prepare Operating Room with necessary instruments, supplies, and equipment for each case
• Provide direct and specialized nursing care to patients during surgical procedures
• Maintain strict adherence to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols
• Monitor patient status and anticipate the needs of surgeons and the team throughout procedures
• Document all patient care activities and surgical events in accordance with facility policies
• Advocate for the safety and well-being of patients at every stage of the perioperative experience
