Registered Nurse - Operating Room (OR RN) - Trussville, AL

Seeking an experienced Registered Nurse with proven skills in Operating Room (OR) nursing to support surgical services in a dynamic hospital environment. This contract role provides opportunities to work closely with a collaborative surgical team and contribute significantly to patient care.

Schedule/Hours:

• AM shifts available: choose from 4x10-hour shifts or 3x12-hour shifts per week, based on your preference
• No call requirements
• One late stay per week required
• One weekend shift required each month

Qualifications:

• Active RN license
• BLS certification required
• Demonstrated experience in Operating Room nursing
• Proficient in circulating and/or scrubbing roles
• Strong critical thinking, organization, and communication skills
• Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and adapt in fast-paced settings

Responsibilities:

• Assist with surgical procedures as circulating and/or scrub nurse
• Prepare and maintain the surgical environment for optimal patient safety
• Monitor patient status throughout procedures, documenting care in accordance with best practices
• Coordinate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and support staff to ensure seamless patient care
• Uphold strict infection control and sterile techniques
• Provide preoperative and postoperative assessments and patient education

$2,064 - $2,176/Week Estimated weekly earnings represent hourly wages, based on 40 hours per week, and expense reimbursement for eligible candidates. The actual amount may vary based on hours worked, eligibility for reimbursements, and seasonal adjustments.
