Registered Nurse - Operating Room - Trussville, Alabama

Experienced registered nurses with Operating Room expertise are needed to deliver exceptional perioperative care in a dynamic hospital environment. This contract position calls for a dedicated RN comfortable in the OR setting, committed to ensuring patient safety and effective surgical procedures.

Key Qualifications:

• Current and unrestricted RN license
• Previous experience in an Operating Room or Surgical Services setting
• Proficient in circulating and/or scrubbing for various surgical cases
• Strong assessment, communication, and critical thinking skills
• Knowledgeable in sterile techniques and patient safety protocols
• BLS certification (required); ACLS certification (preferred)
• Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients before, during, and after surgical procedures
• Maintain strict adherence to infection control and aseptic techniques in the OR
• Assist surgeons and surgical teams by preparing equipment, instruments, and supplies
• Monitor and document patients’ responses throughout perioperative phases
• Ensure appropriate handling and documentation of specimens
• Respond promptly to emergencies and adapt to rapidly changing situations in the OR
• Educate patients and families on perioperative procedures and post-surgical care

$2,064 - $2,176/Week Estimated weekly earnings represent hourly wages, based on 40 hours per week, and expense reimbursement for eligible candidates. The actual amount may vary based on hours worked, eligibility for reimbursements, and seasonal adjustments.
