Take on a vital role supporting patient care and outcomes in the operating room with this contract opportunity for a Registered Nurse specializing in perioperative services. As part of a highly collaborative surgical team, you'll provide direct nursing care and advocate for the well-being of each patient and their family throughout their procedure.

Requirements:

  • Current, active RN license
  • Minimum 2 years of recent experience working as an OR nurse
  • Valid BLS and ACLS certifications
  • Demonstrated expertise in orthopedic cases
  • Commitment to delivering compassionate, patient-centered care
  • Ability to work effectively with providers, support staff, and fellow RNs
  • Willingness to abide by a 70-mile radius rule

Schedule:

  • Contract guarantees 36 hours per week (of the 40)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, individualized perioperative nursing care for surgical patients and their families
  • Prepare cases and manage equipment set-up and surgical supplies for scheduled procedures
  • Monitor patient status and advocate for best practices throughout every stage of the surgical process
  • Communicate clearly and collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, techs, and support staff
  • Ensure thorough documentation and compliance with all safety standards and protocols
  • Provide emotional support and education to patients and family members as appropriate
