Requirements:
- Current, active RN license
- Minimum 2 years of recent experience working as an OR nurse
- Valid BLS and ACLS certifications
- Demonstrated expertise in orthopedic cases
- Commitment to delivering compassionate, patient-centered care
- Ability to work effectively with providers, support staff, and fellow RNs
- Willingness to abide by a 70-mile radius rule
Schedule:
- Contract guarantees 36 hours per week (of the 40)
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality, individualized perioperative nursing care for surgical patients and their families
- Prepare cases and manage equipment set-up and surgical supplies for scheduled procedures
- Monitor patient status and advocate for best practices throughout every stage of the surgical process
- Communicate clearly and collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, techs, and support staff
- Ensure thorough documentation and compliance with all safety standards and protocols
- Provide emotional support and education to patients and family members as appropriate
