Seeking an experienced Registered Nurse with a strong background in the operating room to provide high-quality patient care in a dynamic surgical environment. Qualifications & Experience:
- Current, unrestricted RN licensure
- Minimum one year of recent experience in an operating room or surgical services setting
- Proficient with perioperative nursing standards and principles
- Ability to circulate and/or scrub preferred
- Excellent assessment, critical thinking, and communication abilities
- BLS certification required; ACLS certification strongly preferred
- Demonstrates attention to detail, teamwork, and adaptability to changing priorities
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide professional, compassionate nursing care to patients undergoing operative and invasive procedures
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia personnel, and surgical technologists to ensure a safe surgical environment
- Prepare and maintain operating room supplies, instruments, and equipment
- Monitor patients’ conditions before, during, and after procedures, quickly responding to changes and complications
- Uphold strict surgical asepsis and infection control protocols
- Document all perioperative care accurately and promptly in compliance with facility standards and regulations
- Support patient safety initiatives and advocate for best practices at every stage of care
